Short Format Youth Workshops

My short-format workshops (ranging from 1 to 3 days) invite play, storytelling, and tactile exploration through textiles, movement, and accessible crafts. Developed or co-developed with participants’ ages and input in mind, each session adapts to the moment—guided by curiosity, care, and a spirit of co-creation.

Craft & Groove, Roundhouse Community Centre

Co-Facilitator

Co-created with dance and movement artists Marco Esccer and Sophia Laurio, this interdisciplinary pilot invited youth ages 12–18 to explore the embodied qualities of texture, shape, and sculptural form. Over three immersive days, participants engaged in playful experimentation with movement and material.

This pilot will expand into a 12-week Art in Motion youth dance residency launching in Fall/Winter 2025.

Dream Fans, as part of Creative Remix at Moberly Arts & Cultural Centre

Lead Facilitator

To mark the new moon and the first day of the lunar month, participants ages 6–12 gathered to connect, dream, and create. Each participant made a handmade fan filled with wishes for the month ahead—a playful and reflective way to slow down, reset, and nurture a sense of calm and hope, while carrying a gentle reminder to fan themselves with their wishes.

Collage Care, Yellowhouse Art Centre

Lead Facilitator

Participants ages 7+ explored the art of collage-making using personal images, found treasures, and a mix of drawing, painting, and stitching techniques. Inspired by Cree artist George Littlechild's vision, they created vibrant snapshots reflecting their unique stories. Each participant brought a meaningful photo or found materials to play with as we explored and expressed our shared creativity.
